Why should I have my animal micro-chipped?
The best reason to have your animal microchipped is the improved chance that you will get your animal back if it becomes lost or stolen.
Most of the countries require pet microchip for international travel, it serves as identification method. When our pets are traveling a lot of documents are required, the microchip number in the documents should match with the one implanted on our pet, in order Immigration authorities to be able to identify the animal described in the documents mandatory for travel.
By displaying your pet’s microchip on your Pet Id Tag, if your pet is lost it will be faster and easier to read the information on the tag and contacting the pet’s owner.
When an animal is found and taken to a veterinary clinic we always check for microchip number and microchip registry for more information. If the animal is micro-chipped and the information are accurate we will contact the owner and he/she will be reunited with the pet.
